Who is Jurassic Fungi?

Jurassic fungi is based in the historic market town of Wimborne in the heart of Dorset, home of the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. The Jurassic coast is a beautiful place steeped in both natural and human history.

To honour the land we use organic locally source natural materials where possible and we fortify our products with organic seaweed extracts that are harvested from the Jurassic Coast. 

Greg Andrew - Founder

My name is Greg and I founded Jurassic fungi in 2019 after having the dream of running a permaculture company that benefits people and the planet. 

I have always been fascinated by the natural world and how interconnected life is and have been studying Permaculture for 8+ years. I studied Ecology and conservation at university and specialised in sustainability, agro-ecology, restoration ecology and soil science, ultimately leading to the wonderful world of fungi.

I spent my youth growing up in the New Forest, and spent a large portion of my degree studying its ecology and natural history. Its a truly wonderful place with towering ancient Oak and Beech trees rich in a dazzling diversity of fungi.

This affinity for the New Forest drives me to collect and preserve the biodiversity of the edible and medicinal mushrooms of this wild place.
