Wine Cap mushrooms are one of the easiest mushrooms you can grow, they are grown outdoors on woodchip beds and require little maintenance once established. They can fruit several times a year and if you keep adding new material they will last many years.
They are perfect for growing alongside fruits and vegetables as they produce a fertile soil very quickly, aiding in nutrient availability for your plants, as well as creating a living mulch that protects your soils.
This kit contains 2kg of sawdust spawn enough to cover 3sq meters. We have added organic seaweed to provide a boost in micronutrients for the mushrooms and your plants and we have also added Biochar.
Biochar is beginning to be used widely as a method to improve soils and capture carbon. Biochar has lots of micropores and a large surface area which aids in retaining moisture and nutrients in the soil like a sponge. In addition, Biochar improves drainage and provides habitat for beneficial microbes increasing soil activity. Our Wine Cap grow kits will provide a long-term benefit to your soils for many years.
We use our own cultures and spawn to make these grow kits to make sure they are grown with the highest quality ingredients.
